“The Dunes Where There’s No Signal on the Road to and from a Getaway” is an exploration of where and when deep thoughts ebb and flow. Without modern interference, the radio is silenced, the network lost, and the connection severed. The artist’s muse is the unending expanse of childhood spent on road trips in the deserts of the Arabian peninsula.

Ten years later, through the eyes of an adulthood spent in her home country, memories of those long drives  intersect with her escape from the bedlam of Cairo to the rocky coast of the Red Sea.
